It starts with one
It’s not enough to have a good idea. A lot of people have good ideas every day. What sets one good idea apart from the rest, is the willingness and motivation to follow through and implement it.
This is something Mark Stelzner is great at. Only a few short weeks ago, he got an idea to focus on helping get one person a job and asked that each of his followers on twitter do the same. Just like that not only did people, including myself, start responding and retweeting the idea like crazy, Mark, and some “guardian angels”, pushed forward with the idea by setting up Job Angels.
Job Angels is for those who want to help and those looking for help. It is a way to leverage the reach and power of social media and social networking to make a difference at a time when so many lives are being negatively impacted by the economy.
Besides being on twitter, you can find Job Angels on LinkedIn, Facebook, a soon to be unveiled website, and now the LA Times. Please take the time to check out Job Angels. You never know how many lives you can impact for the better, and if you are looking for work you would be surprised how many people are willing to lend you a hand. It starts with one.

Thanks so much for the wonderful post Shauna. You’ve been so supportive since that fateful tweet 13 days ago, and I appreciate all the goodwill you’ve continued to create in that time. It’s people like you – giving, warm, creative and determined – that make this all worthwhile!
All my best,
Mark
