… the HR Minion. Because even minions have opinions. And giggles.

Here’s your sign

If there is one thing that is going to define 2011, I think it will be people leaving their current jobs for greener pastures, now that there are actually greener pastures. Yes the economy is still bad and a lot of people are still out of work, but the shift has already started. Now you may be asking yourself, self, how do I know if my current job is less than fulfilling and if I may need to make a change? Well, I’m glad you asked!

Here is a list of signs that you may need to look for a new job:
– You don’t remember the last time you didn’t come in on Monday wondering who had been let go last Friday.
– There are whole communities living in the piles of paperwork on your desk.
– You have a co-worker(s) who hoards information like precious gold or cigarettes in prison.
– Appreciation and encouragement of any kind disappeared the same time your 401k value did.
– If you stub your toe one more time on that filing cabinet so help you, you are going to snap.
– It’s more common for you to cry in the car on your way home from work than not.
– It’s review time and your boss is avoiding you.
– Your boss has started looking for a new job.
– You do not feel the safety committee took your Zombie attack preparedness recommendations seriously.
– The office equipment is older than your new intern.
– Your desk/boss has changed more times than months you have worked there.
– Your last paycheck bounced.
– You were threatened with a spork in the employee lunch room.
– YOU threatened someone with a spork in the employee lunch room.
– All the co-workers you liked have already found better jobs.
– You can, and do, your whole days work within the first two hours.
– Your ulcer has an ulcer.

Well, anything sound familiar? Have any signs you want to add? feel free to share them in the comments.
