… the HR Minion. Because even minions have opinions. And giggles.

HREvolution: The Return of Gir

Long ago, in an twitter conversation that happened far away, something revolutionary was started. And no, it had nothing to do with George Lucas. But that doesn’t make it any less awesome. An Unconference epic, you could call it, that helped bring together and challenge the HR online community in fun, new ways. Now, as one of the original cast members in this trilogy (so far, good franchises always manage to do more sequels) I’ve previously expressed my love for Part 1 and Part 2. That’s right, it’s HRevolution time again, and Gir could not be more excited! This is what he was made for.

And yeah, I’m really excited too. Not only do I get to hang out with some of my favorite people and meet more amazing people IRL, I also get to experience the unique fun that is HRevolution. Shenanigans, people, shenanigans. Seriously, If you’ve only been to regular HR conferences before you are missing out. Not too mention the distinct honor I have to be leading a session with Dwane Lay titled “Connecting in Non-Creepy Ways”. Why would you need to attend a session like that? Because there are lots of creepy ways to interact on social media, and I don’t know anyone (myself included) who hasn’t wondered if they had crossed that line.

So whether you are attending or will just be lurking on the #HRevolution twitter back channel next weekend, here’s to making Part 3 just as memorable as the first two! Cheers!

And if you feel like hearing more about the event, and how could you not, check out the latest HR Happy Hour from last week where we previewed the event. Fun times people, fun times. The excitement practically jumps off the #HRHappyHour back channel and smacks you in the face.

Love & shenanigans to you and Gir. We’ll make HRevolution 3 even more memorable!

  • 2 Pam Valentine :

This will be my 1st time attending, I am so excited to experience this event, I am sure it will differ phenomenally from my previous conference experiences. I’m new to this HR community and looking forward to networking. My experience of European HR is that people tend to be a bit stuffy and not as forward at collaborating.
I apologize to everyone in advance for my enthusiasm!!
