On the road with Gir
One of my favorite things to do when I travel to conferences, on vacation, to see family/friends, or well anywhere, it is bringing my proxy Gir along for the ride. After all, you never know when you’ll come across a great photo opportunity. Even more exciting has been bringing Gir along for the two, yes two, cross country moves I’ve made within the last year.
So imagine how pleased i was to learn that I would soon get to do it again! I mean I know I just moved to Florida and in the process of that move I was tempted to burn all my possessions rather than continue to move them, but it really can’t be that bad this time around, right? And if they are moving me for my job I really can’t complain, can I? In this economy you do what you have to do.
So where am I going? Well, interestingly enough, the company i am with has decided to expand operations overseas. Yup, this minion is going international. Unfortunately, it’s not anyplace cool, like England or Spain. It’s not even someplace interesting or historical like India. But it is unique. That’s right, I’m headed to UlaanBaatar, Mongolia! I mean, someone has to do HR in outsourced call centers and I hear Mongolia is slated to be the new India of call centers. So please look forward to fun pictures of Gir in a yurt and on a horse, and if this post seems just a little strange to you, just think about what day it is and I’m sure things will start making sense rather quickly.
