HR Happy Hour #100

100. Yes, you read that right HR Happy Hour fans, 100 Shows. Wohoo!!!! Let that sweet syndication money start rolling in! Well, not really, but still, way cool. So how did we celebrate such a milestone? Well, we super-sized the show to 90 minutes, invited all our listeners to call in and share, and we had prizes! That’s right, both Aquire and SHRM stepped up with 2 $50 gift cards each and we got creative in handing them out! Two gift cards went to our HR Happy Hour Trivia winners, Matt Stollak and Debbie J. Brown. They really proved themselves to be true fans! One went to the best call of the night, Paul Smith, and the last one went to the best tweet of the night, Tracy Tran! Thanks to everyone who called in with your congrats and sweet words, thanks to all our listeners, and huge thanks to our #HRHappyHour twitter back channel!

Now, if I could get serious for a moment, I cannot tell you all how amazing and wonderful it is that the show has reached such a milestone. When Steve first asked me to be his co-host two years ago, I would have never thought that it would become this popular, go this long, or help bring so many wonderful things into my life. It’s been an amazing ride. And that is why it was so tough for me to make this announcement at the end of the show last night: I am stepping down as Co-Host.

I know, I know. It was a tough decision but the right one for me. It was time. Everything changes and I know Steve will take the show to new levels of awesomeness and rock it! Steve has asked if I would be willing to come back in the future for special occasions or to co-host with Jason Seiden (if he would like) and I enthusiastically agreed. So you aren’t quite rid of me yet. And it’s not like I’m disappearing from Social Media, I have an empire to maintain. Plus there is this rumor about creating an app/ringtone of my giggle… Who knows? Either way, let’s all raise our glasses to the HR Happy Hour. Cheers!

    Impossible to say thanks in the right and fitting way in this little comment box – but many, many, thanks for all the time, energy, enthusiasm, laughs, and spirit. I am certain you will be missed. What a fun show last night, even if it was a little bittersweet. And yes, you are coming back on with Seiden!
