48 hours in Vegas, #HREvolution style

I just spent a whirlwind weekend in Vegas and I think I have recovered enough to recount all the fun that was HREvolution. I have been lucky to attend all but one HREvolution event and as long as the awesome organizers (Trish, Steve, Ben, and Matt) keep putting it on, I will keep doing so. Three Reasons: The people, the conversations, and the crazy. Sound intrigued? Of course you are.

So here’s what 48 hours in Vegas, HREvolution style looks like:

Gir may have gotten stuck in the Atlanta airport for hours, but he did it in style in the Delta Sky Club streaming The League episodes fro Netflix.

After sleeping in to compensate for an after midnight arrival, Gir dove in to all the glorious yumminess of fried chicken Benedict at Hash House A Go Go.

Then it was time for champagne toasts, tweet ups, and lovely views of the Vegas Strip.

Even though Gir had to leave the event early to dash to the airport, he still found time to get a little gambling in. He must have the magic touch because he turned $5 into $20.

In all seriousness though, I love HREvolution because even though it is only brief, seeing all my friends, getting to hug and catch up, and delving into all those fun and geeky HR conversations that you only get to have when you get together in person; those are the experiences that keep me coming back and depriving myself of sleep time and again. I just hope I can spend more than 48 hours experiencing it next time.
